lawn of the white house with more on this this incident was seems safe at the moment, but has certainly rattled otherwise quiet sunday afternoon. lucas question eric. it s not often hear sonic boom in the dc area, and that s exactly what people heard around 3 p.m. eastern time. the big boom is a sonic boom coming from an f 16 fighter jet as you mentioned launching the d, c national guard at andrews home, 100 and 13th win the reason they scrambled because there was an unknown cessna. we re told, flying a radically in the dc area ignore radio calls that have 16 was cleared for supersonic and but when the jets responded that cessna the faa says crashed outside of stanton, virginia, which is not too close to dc but certainly a strange twist, but certainly has a lot of people s attention here on a sunday afternoon in washington. there certainly is this especially at that says no 1, 72 or 1, 50, or skyline crashed. it s very odd. we don t know what may have brought that plane down.

Is creeping closer to a Government Shutdown as lawmakers work on a lastditch effort to hammer out a deal to fund the government. What we expect to happen today and the impacts a shutdown could have on everything from child care to air travel. A deluge of rain sparks flash flooding across parts of
the phone again and chat. as you said earlier. the reaction was swift and according to plan what they did when they saw this bogey. this plane, you know, out of the proper security bubble. the air security bubble around washington d. c i am told that security officials at the u. s. capitol itself changed the security posture. they have four postures there for what they call an air con. so you know, green, everything is fine . then you can go down to yellow, blue and red, so they flipped it briefly from green to yellow because this plane was inside of that bubble, and i m told that very shortly after that they went back to green because they determined that this aircraft even though it was not supposed to be there, it was not a threat to the capital. i am told that the actual flight path it was kind of parallel to the capital. it was nowhere near the actual united states capitol itself. and i m also told you know, of course, that the sunday afternoon there s nobody really on capitol hil
