APPALACHIA — A public campaign for more information on small modular nuclear reactors continued a series of community meetings Tuesday and has formed a new umbrella group.
A bill that would change how small nuclear reactor power plants are permitted in Virginia heads to a Virginia House of Delegates subcommittee hearing Tuesday.
While the Virginia Department of Energy has not yet scheduled follow-ups to its January 8 public education meeting on energy projects, five activist groups have a 12-day series of meetings on one project – small nuclear reactors.
