Middle school administrator honored for distinguished service

Keith Young’s path, ultimately, to a lifetime in education spent in service of others was never a straightforward, golden trail.
Yet, with benefit of hindsight, Young’s path never seemed in doubt.

Stewarts Creek MS "Quilts of Valor"

(SMYRNA, TN)  Four veterans at Stewarts Creek Middle School were honored with Quilts of Valor from the Friendship Quilters Guild of Smyrna members.

SRO Chris Freischlag, social studies teacher Allen Kessinger, education assistant Retired Col. Dwight Gray and math teacher Tina Duggin received the quilts along with six other veterans Saturday to recognize the military who served and were willing to sacrifice for America’s freedom.

16 Rutherford schools earn 'Reward' status

RUTHERFORD COUNTY- Rutherford County Schools has been named an Advancing District, and nearly a third of all Rutherford schools have earned “Reward” status.

Christiana Middle launches 'STEAM Thursdays' in pursuit of state designation
