Over enrolled since 1996 i teach a survey course in womens history which has about 120 firstyear students. Right now i have athletes from every sport. I have a lot of people in their first year, and i have graduating askers seniors who have waited all the different years with a different major just to take a womens study class before they graduate. Theres no end to the violence against women. We have not stopped shaming girls about their body. We have so much sex women in the media. Which implies you have to have a certain shape to be loved or popular. The problem in term of refining feminism is it is true what unifies a lot of women globally is what done to women. Average afghan was 42 years. Today, its 62 years. And rising. In 2001, 9 of afghans had access to basic health care. Today, 60 of afghans live within an hour of basic health services. In 2001, there was only one television station and it was owned by the government. Today there are 75 stations. And only two and all of those but two are privately owned. And in 2001, there were virtually no cell phones in the country. Today, there are 18 million covering about 90 of residential areas. 80 of afghan women. Now have access to a cell phone meaning they are connected to their families, their friends, and most importantly, theyre connected to the world and the future.
