Amy Lewis knew her first semester of college would be beyond strange.
She was entering a new school, new team and new country a country with the worst reported COVID-19 response in the world amid a global pandemic.

When the Virden native signed with Dakota College at Bottineau more than a year ago, the virus was just starting to spread on the other side of the world. Lewis would dive head first into a new challenge, applying years of training with coaches Steve Densmore and Curtis Plett, as well as Team Manitoba, to her Jacks women’s volleyball team.
