Liquor License Subcommittee Proposes New Process for Awarding Retail Liquor License

The Sheridan City Council and Mayor Rich Bridger at Monday night’s Council study session, were updated on a proposed new process for awarding the additional retail liquor license the City received due to a population increase reported in the 2020 Census. Liquor License Subcommittee to Meet With City Attorney

The City of Sheridan received an additional retail liquor license due to an increase in population that was reported in the 2020 Census. A subcommittee made up of Councilors Shawn Day, Steve Brantz and Jacob Martin was formed last September to develop a process for awarding that additional license.

The issue with the new liquor license

In December of 2021, due to an increase in population, the city was awarded an additional liquor license. The Sheridan City Council released the information and received 11 applications for the license that met the criteria required. The council formed a committee to figure out the most fair way
