Tallahassee, Fla. – The fourth-ranked Florida State Seminoles (24-5) will travel to California this weekend to participate in Cal Poly’s Center of Effort Challenge. The Seminoles will take on No. 3 UCLA, No. 13 Cal Poly, No. 6 LMU, and No. 1 USC.
The first day of the Center of Effort Challenge will feature two opponents that the Seminoles have already faced this season. The Noles will start the day with a rematch against No. 3 UCLA at 5:00 PM EST. UCLA defeated FSU 3-2 at the March to May Tournament in Gulf Shores, Ala. on March 18th. It was a very close dual as the Seminoles defeated the Bruins on courts one and two and lost in three sets on courts four and five. UCLA currently leads the all-time series 11-7.
The second dual of the day will be against the host school, Cal Poly, at 9:30 PM EST. The two teams last met at Florida State’s Beach Bash on February 26th, 2022, where the Seminoles swept the Mustangs 5-0. FSU leads the all-time series 6-0, four of which were sweeps.

Tallahassee, Fla. – The Florida State Seminoles (12-3) will travel to Baton Rouge, Louisiana this weekend for the LSU Beach Invitational. For the third week in a row, the Seminoles enter the weekend ranked fourth in both the AVCA and collegebeachvolleyball.com polls.
The Noles will compete in a season-high five duals this weekend. Their opponents include Tampa, No. 2 TCU, No. 6 LSU, Texas A&M Corpus Christi, and Houston Baptist.
Action will start on Saturday, March 26th at 10:00AM ET against Tampa. The Noles have swept Tampa twice this season, 5-0 at the FSU Beach Bash (2/27) and 3-0 at the Stetson Sun-N-Sand Invitational (3/12). Florida State currently leads the series 5-0 all-time against Tampa.
