Business owners say people shopping small, local this holiday season
Every year, there is talk to shop small and local during the holiday season. But amid a pandemic that motivates many to stay inside and online, one-stop-shops like Amazon only one click away, it s reasonable to question whether people have been venturing to local stores for holiday shopping.
According to a few small business owners and entrepreneurs from across the SouthCoast, locals have put their money where their mouth is this holiday season.
I feel like people were more generous with their dollar. I think there was an understanding from shoppers of the need to do this, said Allison Faunce, the founder of Southcoast Open Air Market.  ....
