The 2020 Lake County Fair was cancelled due to the pandemic.
On the final day of the 2021 fair, the Lake County Fair pageant crowned the winners from the baby to junior categories, and even held their first ever boy s category.
“It was a great success with 54 contestants and a packed-out crowd in attendance,” pageant coordinator Linda Watts said.
The winners include Baby Brylee Berlin of Lady Lake, Pee Wee Stella Newell of Tavares, Toddler Arrabella Allen of Eustis, Tiny Miss Lanah Newell of Tavares, Little Miss Elliana Castiglione of Tavares and Junior Miss Addisyn Rae Melanson of Eustis.
In the boy s category, winners include Baby Ozias Olmstead of Leesburg, Pee Wee Gavin Driver of Astor and Toddler Zayne Pitts of Leesburg.
LEESBURG Lilly Parker was crowned Miss Lake County three weeks ago.
Now, the 18-year-old Umatilla resident is making plans to share her story with others through community service projects and personal visits to women s shelters.
“I had some personal issues during my childhood,” Parker said. “Things I won’t go into here, but I share with girls and even women who have been through similar experiences. I want to inspire them to not let it define them.”
After surviving some traumatic experiences, she began getting the help she needed from the right people.
But she found herself still struggling with her self esteem, image and worth.
