Newly launched Future Digital Twin demystifies technology

The latest Future offering from Cavendish, Future Digital Twin, was launched as a direct response to the high level of delegate interest generated during the digital twin technology streams at Future Oil and Gas in December 2020 and Future Downstream in March 2021.
During the two-day conference, an incredible line-up of operators – including Shell, Equinor, Petrobras, Aramco Overseas, bp, Chevron, Eni, and Repsol – suppliers, technology companies, and digital experts offered insight and guidance on incorporating a digital twin and ensuring best practice throughout the product lifecycle.

Natural gas-sourced blue hydrogen to usher in new era of decarbonisation

Astronauts looking back at Earth affectionately call it the ‘Blue Planet’ and it is only fitting that in the near future, humanity will be able to extract everything from electricity to industry to heating from what has come to be known as blue hydrogen. This emerging new source of fuel, which leaves a lower carbon footprint in its wake, was the subject of a special virtual event entitled ‘Blue Hydrogen Strategy’ and organised by the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF) recently, featuring guest speaker Steinar Eikaas, Equinor’s Vice-President for Low Carbon Solutions.
