In collaboration between the Kunstmuseum Appenzell and the Fondazione Marguerite Arp, Locarno (Switzerland), an exhibition has been created that highlights the friendship and collaboration between Hans Arp (1886–1966), Sophie Taeuber-Arp (1889–1943) and Max Bill (1908–94).
The programmes of Kunstmuseum / Kunsthalle Appenzell are characterised by a variety of different exhibition formats and media, concepts that are often developed in close collaboration with artists and allow for experimentation.
In her sculptures Alice Channer (b. 1977, Oxford, UK, lives and works in London) explores the relationship between materials, bodies, machines and industrial or technological processes; her exhibition Heavy Metals / Silk Cut spans across the two buildings of the Kunstmuseum and the Kunsthalle Appenzell.
