Unsettled midfielder Stefan Colovic has cut his ties with Dundalk, with a year left on his contract, after the FAI Cup holders agreed a deal with a club in Serbia.
Colovic (26) was billed as a key signing for Dundalk when he arrived on a two-year deal at the start of last season. His progress was disrupted by Covid-19 as the league was halted a week after he d made his league debut in early March.
While he was in the side when the season resumed in July, he was unable to impose himself on the league, and was not even in the squad for the games at the end of the season, including Dundalk s FAI Cup win and their final matches in the group stages of the Europa League. ....

Jordan Flores has departed Dundalk FC and signed for English League One side Hull City on an 18-month contract.
The 25-year-old midfielder spent two seasons at Oriel Park after signing from hometown club Wigan Athletic ahead of the 2019 campaign, but played just 29 league matches since then.
Although his game time with Dundalk was limited due to injury and then Covid-19, Flores rose to international fame last February with a superb acrobatic goal against Shamrock Rovers at Tallaght Stadium which was subsequently nominated for the FIFA Puskas Award.
Impressive strikes in the Europa League group stages against Molde and Arsenal followed which drew the attention of several English clubs, with Hull ultimately winning his signature. ....

AND SO DUNDALK’S Europa League campaign ends without a point, the sixth defeat inflicted by Arsenal in another full-blooded, free-wheeling game in which Filippo Giovagnoli’s side left nothing to wonder. 
A mingling of Defensive errors  and opposition class meant Dundalk were deservedly beaten, but again they found the scoresheet again to vastly exceed their goalscoring return from Stephen Kenny’s campaign four years ago. Arsenal were 2-0 up here ....
