VERONA Augusta County has seen more than 900 paycheck protection program loans amounting in more than $59 million since 2020.
The Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) is a loan designed to provide a direct incentive for small businesses to keep their workers on payroll. Borrowers may be eligible for PPP loan forgiveness.
The Small Business Administration is currently offering PPP loans until May 31. Starting in February, the U.S. Small Business Administration established a 14-day, exclusive payment protection program (PPP) loan application period for businesses and nonprofits with fewer than 20 employees.
