Ust outside of Verona, an educational nonprofit farm, called Project GROWS, hosted two 9th graders from Staunton Montessori School for a semester as they worked together to construct an outdoor learning pond. The students practiced problem solving, time management and teamwork.

VERONA Augusta County has seen more than 900 paycheck protection program loans amounting in more than $59 million since 2020.
The Paycheck Protection Program (PPP) is a loan designed to provide a direct incentive for small businesses to keep their workers on payroll. Borrowers may be eligible for PPP loan forgiveness.
