State Veterans Home begins first round of vaccinations
First group of residents at the State Veterans Home in Oxford received a shot of hope Wednesday.

OXFORD, Miss (WTVA) - The first group of veterans got the coronavirus vaccine at the State Veterans Home in Oxford Wednesday,
U.S. Army veteran, Vernard Murchison, said getting the vaccine today means he is one shot closer to being reunited with his family.
“It’ll be nice to see them. It sure would,” he said.
Murchinson was one first resident to get the Pfizer vaccine at the State Veterans home in Oxford. He and other residents haven’t seen their families in months because of three coronavirus outbreaks in the facility.
