IPOB writes Biden to halt sale of arms to Nigeria

The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has written a letter to the President of the United States of America, Joe Biden, asking him to deny Nigeria sale of arms.
Nigeria had earlier asked for assistance from the US president in tackling insecurity in the country.
Sunday Sun reports that the leader of IPOB, Nnamdi Kanu, had written to Biden urging him to consider that Christians are being killed in Nigeria allegedly with arms sold   to Nigeria to fight Boko Haram.
The letter reads in parts: “President Buhari has made Nigeria the most dangerous country in the world for Christians, Jews and Nigeria’s indigenous peoples, particularly those of the former Republic of Biafra. ....

Herdsmen kill 28 in fresh attack on Benue, Nasarawa communities

Twenty-eight persons have been reportedly killed in attacks on several communities in Benue and Nasarawa states by suspected herdsmen.
A former Speaker of the Benue State Assembly, Dave Iorhemba, on Saturday said 17 people were killed in separate attacks on communities in the Guma Local Government Area of the state.
Speaking with journalists, Iorhembs explained that several people were injured and receiving treatment in various hospitals in the state. He noted that communities such as Ayeri and Tse-Gboigyo in Mbaye/Yandev Ward, Guma, suffered deadly attacks between 1am and 2am on Saturday.
The former speaker added that a primary school teacher, Hycint Ajum, at Isherev in the local government was massacred last Wednesday. ....
