disapproval. the president of the u.s. then has the right and the authority to exercise his veto, if you he wants, and i would expect that he would. then the u.s. congress has the right to override that veto. that s how our system works. i would hope the u.s. congress would not override that veto, because i believe that this plan is the most profound, the most far-reaching arms agreement ever negotiated and that will keep this country, israel, and our allies safer. senator: thank you, but what i am asking is, if the congress did override that veto, why would it matter to the iranians? what would they lose? undersec. sherman: they would lose an opportunity to have sanctions relief. they would lose the opportunity to end their isolation from the rest of the world. they would lose their opportunity to come into the community of nations. they may not care about that. and what i would expect is that if the u.s. congress overwrites a presidential veto, which i would not e ....
