According to a media release Monday from Cody Hiland, Office of the United States Attorney Eastern District of Arkansas, Scott Pillow pleaded guilty to one count of theft of government funds. The investigation began in 2019 after investigators received information that Pillow was abusing his role with the Greene County Sheriff’s Office.

On November 4, 2019, FBI parked a rental vehicle in a commercial parking lot in Paragould and staged a glass drug pipe in the vehicle along with a red backpack containing $76,000. The cash was divided into ten bundles of $7,600 each, and investigators recorded the serial numbers.
