Addressing the BJP workers on the occasion of the party s 41st foundation day, Modi said: Wrong narratives are created against CAA, farm laws and labour law. it s a pre-planned conspiracy to create political instability in the country. These people spread rumours, lies and create atmosphere of imaginary fear like Constitution will be changed, reservation will end, land will be taken away. All these rumours are lies, Modi said, hitting out at the party s opponents.

Nadda to launch rice collection programme in Bengal to woo farmers

BJP president J P Nadda arrived in West Bengal on Saturday to launch his party s door-to-door rice collection programme aimed at wooing farmers, amid the ongoing protest in Delhi over the contentious agriculture laws. He will reach out to the farmers of a village here during his day-long visit to the state. This is Nadda s first visit to West Bengal after the attack on his convoy during his journey to Diamond Harbour from Kolkata on December 10. Nadda arrived at Andal airport at around 11.45 am and took a helicopter ride from there to reach Jagdanandpur village in Purba Bardhaman district, where he will first offer puja at a temple and then meet the farmers.

Decision on forming non-BJP DDC in J-K to be taken by high command: Cong

The Congress party on Wednesday said that the final decision on forming the non-BJP DDC (district development council) in Jammu and Kashmir, at places where Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is not in majority, will be taken by the party s high command. Out of the 278 seats for which results have been declared by the J-K Election Commission so far, the Congress party bagged 26 seats in DDC polls, which were held in eight phases on 280 seats across Jammu and Kashmir. Post the results of DDC polls, Ravinder Sharma, Spokesperson, Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee told ANI, We contested DDC elections with National Conference (NC)-led alliance on seat sharing basis. We can consider forming a non-BJP district council, at places where BJP is not in majority. The final decision will be taken by Congress High Command.
