Trooper First Class Josue Dorelus said detectives with the Eastern District Major Crime Squad were called to the scene of the “active investigation” there by Tolland State’s Attorney Matthew Gedansky. “Based on preliminary information, there does not appear to be any criminal element to this incident,” said Dorelus. He did not say what the incident was that police are investigating. View Larger + Rhode Island State Police have arrested Alfredo Falcon-Benitez, age 41, of 57 Lincoln Avenue in Central Falls after the vehicle he was operating struck a marked State Police Cruiser on Route 95 South in the City of Warwick. Falcon-Benitez subsequently failed all field sobriety tests administered on scene and was transported to State Police Headquarters where he refused to provide a breath sample. 1.
