An opposition MP is seeking a censure debate against the government over its alleged failure to contain the Covid-19 pandemic.
Pheu Thai MP for Nan, Cholnan Srikaew, said yesterday he will ask opposition parties to table a no-confidence motion against the government when the new parliamentary session begins on May 22. This is the right time to censure the government for failing to contain the pandemic, Mr Cholnan said.
The country has been hit by several waves of Covid-19, which have dealt severe blows to the economy. This shows the government does not measure up to the job, he said.
