Our ReporterDimapur, June 7 (EMN): To mark the launch of its year-long silver jubilee celebration, the Western Sumi Totimi Hoho (WSTH) organised a plantation drive at Sumi Cultural Centre in Vihokhu village under Niuland district on Tuesday. The event also marked the 24th foundation day of WSTH Formed in the year 1998, WSTH will celebrate its silver jubilee day on June 7, 2023. It covers nine areas and has 15 units. WSTH president, Visheli S Yeptho, said that the programme was organised to commemorate the World Environment Day coinciding with its foundation day on June 7. She expressed hope that such noble deeds would motivate and inspire many, saying, “We have always been inspired by such deeds, so we hope that many such kinds of activities will follow in the days to come.” She thanked the Forest department of Dimapur division for donating about 200 tree saplings.
