Sheridan County commissioners awarded the bid Tuesday for construction of additional parking at the Sheridan County Airport.
The project, which would add 96 more parking spots at the airport, drew personal endorsement from County Commission Chairman Nick Siddle.
Commissioners voted unanimously to award the bid for the project to Wagner Ranch Services for the low bid of just under $571,000.
Airport Manager John Stopka said Wagner Ranch Services had met all submittal requirements, and there was concurrence from FAA officials in Denver as well as Wyoming’s State Aeronautics Division to award the project to Wagner Ranch.
Stopka said total project cost with engineering is $738,000, and an FAA grant has been awarded that will fund 100 percent of the project. He said neither the state nor the airport will have any expenses in the project.
