personal returns. joining us now live, congressman steve king, a republican from iowa and member of the tea party caucus. good morning. good morning. the president wants to keep lower taxes for 97% of americans, the treasuries department s office of tax analysis for the tax year 2007, under bush, 3% of all tax returns were for incomes over $250,000. explain the view that obama s proposal would hurt. walk me through it. i recall back when the bush tax brackets were first implemented, a decade ago. the argument was how do you give tax breaks to people not paying taxes that s a number approaching or exceeding 50%. the lowest bracket would receive a 50% tax increase if the bush tax brackets were allowed to expire. i think this is just another one of the class pieces the president has done, dividing people along whatever lines he can demographically to how is that class envy? i m sorry. you say this is a class envy play by the president. what do you mean? i ....

drugs. mike green berg and mike golic, thanks for being with me. thank you. why do you think the jury did not convict him? why not? ultimately i think the only real witness that mattered in all of this was brian mcnamee and in and as far as unimpressive witnesses he may go to the top. this is something mike golic could have torn apart on the witness stand. it worked out well for roger clemens that way. his reputation is permanently damaged, don t you think? there s no doubt about it. it is the court of public opinion, i don t think is going to change much on him as far as their thoughts of him using performance enhancing drugs and the ultimate test will be the hall of fame. the writers have kind of made the decision if you re touched with peds, you re not getting into the hall of fame. i completely disagree with that train of thought. if you have numbers to be in the hall of fame, you should be in the hall of fame. if you want another way to talk about that ....

reporter: good morning, soledad, negotiations under way in the parliament building behind me here in athens to try to forge some type of coalition. the party that won the election yesterday, new democracy led by samaras, didn t get an absolute majority, only got 129 seats and needs 151 in the parliament to have a majority. so negotiations are continuing. he s got three days to try to bring together some of the other parties as well into a coalition. it s going to get greece out of this political and economic stalemate. the big point from the u.s. point of view and global point of view, samaras, the new democracy, supports the aus t austerity measured imposed on greece and not going to turn its back on its financial commitments and will for the most continue in the european single currency. big sigh of relief because of that. very big deadlines looming. matthew, thank you very much. still ahead, i ll talk to ken rogoff, the former head of the international monetary ....
