Minister Parmanand Sewdien van Landbouw, Veeteelt en Visserij (LVV) heeft donderdag de Raad van Toezicht van het Nationaal Instituut voor Voedselveiligheid Suriname (NIVS) geïnstalleerd. Het NIVS moet consumenten helpen beschermen tegen gevaren verbonden aan alle voor verkoop beschikbare levensmiddelen en is ook gericht op de duurzame ontwikkeling van de agrarische sector.
