University this morning. Others say they saw it on the news first. I talked with a lot of people with faculty, staff, students. Some immediately changed their password. Others say they did not get to it. The Stanford University network is where students and faculty go for everything. Some every day. A woman uses it as Remote Access for math processes for a your and her financials and to access stanford library. Many, as important as it sounds, shrug and are not surprised this has happened and are not worried. They have total trust that stanford will take care of it. I wasnt surprised because that is going on at Major Research institutions which is what stanford is. I changed my password right away. I received that email but i have not done anything yet but i receiveed the notification from the university. I changed my password and i hope the university has found ways to protect us from the intruce. If this university cannot protect us, i dont know who can. Stanford university would not
