An estimated 20 members of the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters (BIFF)Â attempted but failed to occupy the townâs public market located along the national highway, according to Armed Forces of the Philippinesâ Chief of Staff Cirilito E. Lorenzana described the post made by Twitter account @infopsph as “irresponsible propaganda.” “Such disinformation is an act of reckless agitation emanating from detractors,” Lorenzana said. “We call on these destabilizers to cease from propagating malicious statements especially at a time when our people should all be coming together in the face of the challenges that we are all currently facing. General Antonio Parlade Jr. may stay as spokesman of the National Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (NTF-ELCAC) despite calls for him to quit his civilian post at NTF-ELCAC. Lt. Gen. Cirilito E. Sobejana (6th Infantry Division – Kampilan Facebook / MANILA BULLETIN) Sobejana said he supports statements that AFP is part of that Task Force and there is no way the AFP would overrule such statements.
