Mikey Lou Sanchez competed in the MIR Racing Finetwork Cup Promo3 series this past weekend, July 15-16, at Circuito de Navarra. The MIR Racing Cup is a series that is designed to show talent and level the playing field, meaning all the riders will be on equal equipment. All Yamaha WR250 motors are given to each rider on Friday to install with a carburetor that is to remain 100% original. All the chassis are the same and the suspension has two cost-effective options to choose from. Each rider is also only allowed one set of tires to complete the entire weekend, two qualifying sessions and two races. Once the races are finished the motors are returned to the MIR Racing staff immediately. During the weekend there is plenty of supervision to control the rules and regulations as well as assistance with technical details. This series consists on five race weekends.
