Two cops helped save a man who had consumed poison by rushing him to the hospital in the nick of time. The victim was depressed over a loan that he was unable to repay and thought of ending his life.
The
victim Ranganath, 42, a resident of Someshpura Nagar in Wilson Garden, was ferried to the hospital on February 3 by head constable Veerabhadraiah and his senior PSI Umesh from
Upparpet Police Station.

Bengaluru: Last year, Karnatakaâs Srinivas Gowda was dubbed Indiaâs answer to Usain Bolt, when he sprinted 142.5 metres in just 13.62 seconds as part of the traditional Kambala buffalo race. But this year, Gowda fell and injured himself in the first race of the Kambala season last Sunday, and while he still wants to compete in the next race this Saturday, his hope of improving his times has diminished.
Gowda was injured while sprinting with his buffaloes at a Kambala event at Hokkadigoli village in Bantwal taluk of Dakshina Kannada district last Sunday, and was almost in tears when he spoke to ThePrint over the phone. ....

Hassan, Dec 11: A police sub inspector ended life unable to cope up with the pressure due to with the murder incidents and rising crime in Channarayapatna, Hassan district, said Arsikere DySP Nagesh.
Nagesh, who led the probe into the suicide case of Kiran Kumar, submitted a report to SP R Srinivas Gowda on Thursday.
Speaking to reporters, he said, the sub-inspector died by hanging on July 31, at his house.
As a double murder and several crime incidents were reported in Channarayapatna town, he went into mental stress, on how to face the higher officials. ....
