Kosala Amaratunga the rising chess star Daily News (via HT Media Ltd.) Kosala Sandeepa Chamikara Dharmasri Amaratunga , is a rising chees star from Kalutara JMC College studying in grade nine who won the Championship of Sri Lanka Under-16 Online youth Rapid Chess Championship 2021. He is the son of Nishika Thushara Dharmasri Amaratunga and Keppetipola Nilamalage Nilma Manoji Prasangika of Kalutara. He is the elder brother of Piyumi Uthpala and Shivanthi Apsara. From grade1 to grade 6 he was not able do chess but he had the desire of playing chess in grade one but his school did not have chess at that time.In grade six namely August. 8 . 2018 the former manager of JMC Kalutara Eranda and coach Madushan Sameera They started doing chess and learn the beginners part within two days. His extraordinary talents were noticed by Madushan Sameera Dissanayaka the current chess coach of JMC Kalutara and Manager of Super Fighters chess academy . ....
