(Don Treeger / The Republican) Facebook Share SPRINGFIELD Springfield’s Bing Arts Center is exploring its options for the future as COVID-19 and related restrictions on performances and gatherings strangle entertainment venues. “We haven’t presented a performance since the first shutdown in March,” Bing Executive Director Brian F. Hale wrote in an email this week responding to questions from The Republican. “We had a very limited artists’ reception in September for the art we had on the walls when we initially shut down. Bills have continued, revenue has not. We’re a volunteer organization and project, but real costs remain.” ....
