AIOU announces free matriculation education for GB people
ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) has announced free education for the people of Gilgit-Baltistan (GB).
This policy will be in effect from Spring Semester 2021.
The Director Students Affairs Rana Tariq Javed briefed the media about the sanction of free matriculation education policy for the people of GB.
Rana Tariq Javed said that Vice Chancellor AIOU Processor Dr. Zia Ul Qayyum has approved this policy and the University is already providing free matriculation education to the people of Balochistan and former Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA).
He further added that the University has reserved significant funds in its annual budget for the provision of free education to these areas. ....

Associated Students of Madison Chair Matthew Mitnick discussed the student council’s progress on past legislation, future action items for the spring semester and his hopes for the University of Wisconsin during his last semester as chair in an interview with The Badger Herald.
Mitnick will not be running to keep his position with ASM after the spring semester as he prepares to graduate early. Though, before he goes, Mitnick said ASM still has work to do as they lay the foundation for semesters to come and sustain the movements put in motion during ASM’s 27th Session. ....
