Spreckels Organ Society presents 'All You Need is LOVE'

Spreckels Organ Society is hosting a special Sunday afternoon concert, celebrating The Beatles, called “All You Need is LOVE,” on Sunday, Jan. 29 from 2 to 3 p.m. The event is free and open to the public. The concert will showcase San Diego’s Spreckels Pipe Organ – the largest open air musical instrument in the world – with San Diego Civic Organist Raul Prieto Ramirez performing. He will be joined by San Diego’s awarded singer Lauren Leigh-Martin, Richard “Tbone” Larson on drums, and the Choir of St. James-by-the-Sea, directed by Alex Benestelli. Featured songs include favorites such as: “Penny Lane,” “Let it Be,” “All You Need is Love,” “Helter Skelter,” “Lady Madonna,” and more!

Spreckels Organ Society's Halloween Concert and Silent Movie

From the organizers:Come see this special Halloween concert and silent movie with the “Phantom of the Opera,” accompanied by the Spreckels Pipe Organ, the largest open air musical instrument in the world! The event will begin with a pre-concert talk with the artists at 5:30 p.m., along with a silent auction and games. At 6:00 p.m., Victoria Robertson, soprano, and Bernardo Bermúdez, tenor, will sing excerpts from the popular Broadway show, “Phantom of the Opera.” At 6:30 p.m., the 1925 “Phantom of the Opera” silent movie will be portrayed on a big screen atop the Spreckels Organ Pavilion stage, accompanied by Mark Herman, organist.Follow on social media:Facebook + Instagram
