Looks like Yamaha’s making some serious headway with the upcoming FZ-X. The bikes were spotted again in what looks like a commercial shoot somewhere up north. This comes just a week after the second set of spy images surfaced online. These new shots are clearer and more detailed than the earlier ones, giving us a closer look at the bike and the possible colour trims. From the looks of it, Yamaha might launch the bike in two variants: Standard and S (just like the FZS V3). The three colour trims seen in these images only cement our suspicion. The orange paint scheme (with black radiator shrouds) seems to be the standard variant. The blue and black bikes (with silver radiator covers and dual-tone seats) could be the premium versions. The bike runs on an air-cooled engine. ....
The FZ-X may be positioned as a slightly more premium alternative to the FZS V3 Likely to use the same 149cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine as the FZS V3. Expected to launch by September this year. By now we already know Yamaha is working on a new bike that’s expected to be launched this year. The test mule has even been spotted testing in India and you can read about it here. Earlier, we were of the opinion that the bike may just be a downsized XSR250, but that’s far from the case. The upcoming bike actually seems to be based on the FZS-FI V3 and could hence be branded as the FZ-X. It’s now been spotted in what looks like a service centre, hinting at its imminent launch. ....

Spied on Michigan streets just outside a Ford product development centre, you’re looking at a very lightly camouflaged test mule of what is almost certainly an entry-level model of what the internet assumes will be called the Ford Maverick. Absent any sort of snazzy lighting addenda, and wearing a set of rock-’em-sock-’em steel wheels, this looks like an XL trim if there ever was one.
