For Fred Howser, finding an affordable place to live in Woodland has been difficult so he’s been living in his friend’s truck while looking for an apartment.
The celebration will be held on the west side of the overcrossing at Matmor Road and Sports Park Drive. The overcrossing connects newer neighborhoods in the southeast area to the west side of the city and is part of the city’s general plan goal of creating a dedicated path from Ashley Avenue to County Road 102 called the “Woodland Parkway.”
Spencer Bowen, Communication and Strategic Policies Manager for Woodland, said the city and community partners will hold a celebration for these projects the week of April 22 with more information to come.
