One of the FBI agents killed during a raid in Florida has a connection to the Capital Region.
Special Agent Daniel Alfin, who worked in the Albany field office from 2009 until 2014, along with Special Agent Laura Schwartzenberger, lost their lives in the line of duty Tuesday. Agents were serving a warrant as part of a crimes against children case when the suspect opened fire before later taking their own life. Three other members of the FBI were also hurt but are expected to survive.
