There had been rumours in the marketplace that the US wholesaler might be for sale, and it was with a certain sense of relief in some quarters when it was snapped up by an independent distribution group.

US wholesaler S.P. Richards (SPR) has made two key merchandising and marketing appointments. Susan Lada has been promoted to the role of VP of Merchandising. She will have the responsibility of supporting the company’s supplier partners as well as leading its merchandising team. Lada has been at SPR for almost 11 years, holding a number
