For the month of May, Baskin-Robbins is adding a vegan ice cream flavor made with oat milk to its menu nationwide making it the first national chain to launch oat milk-based ice cream. The May Flavor of the month is Non-Dairy Strawberry Streusel and features a creamy oat milk base dotted with strawberries, cinnamon granola, and crumbly streusel. The new limited-time flavor is just the beginning for Baskin-Robbins, which plans to release new vegan flavors made with oat milk later this year.

On April 28, fast-food chain Dunkin’ is further expanding its dairy-free milk options with the addition of coconut milk to its menu at more than 9,000 locations nationwide. The chain will offer coconut milk as a dairy substitute in any beverage and feature the new dairy-free milk in a Coconut Milk Iced Latte and three summer-ready Dunkin’ Coconut Refreshers: Pink Strawberry (strawberry dragon fruit); Golden Peach (peach passion fruit); and Purple Pomegranate (blueberry pomegranate). To promote the launch, Dunkin’ will offer medium-sized coconut milk Refreshers for a discounted price of $3 until May 25.

Today, fast-food chain Dunkin’ added an avocado toast as a plant-based breakfast option to its menu across the United States. The new Dunkin’ Avocado Toast is made with simple ingredients and starts with a base of toasted sourdough bread topped with smashed avocado, sea salt, and black pepper, and then sprinkled with Everything Bagel Seasoning which includes sesame seeds, poppy seeds, onion, and garlic. The new avocado toast which capitalizes on the tried-and-tested millennial trend is available for $2.99 and comes in its own portable box.

Dunkin Donuts has added another meatless breakfast sandwich to its lineup. The Southwest Veggie Power Breakfast Sandwich features a black-bean-based Morningstar Patty served on a multi-grain thin bun and is perfectly suited for vegetarians and plant-forward eaters.
