Man shot, killed amid confrontation with Tigard police

A man was shot and killed during a confrontation with Tigard police Wednesday evening, officials confirmed hours after the shooting.
The man died where he was shot, on Hall Boulevard near Bonita Road, Tigard police said in a statement issued late Wednesday night.
Officials declined to disclose any other information about what happened, except to say no Tigard police officer was injured in the shooting, which occurred sometime before 6:30 p.m. The agency would not confirm the man was killed by police gunfire.
Officers from several other agencies, including the Washington County Sheriff’s Office and Tualatin Police, also responded to the scene. ....
