Image via Twitter Labour have won the Lambeth and Southwark seat at the London Assembly elections, with their candidate claiming almost half of all votes cast. Labour candidate Marina Masuma Ahmad won 91,949 votes, almost three times more votes than Conservative Party candidate Hannah Ginnet, who finished third overall with 30,855 votes. The Conservatives were beaten to second place in Lambeth and Southwark by the Green Party candidate Claire Sheppard, whose tally of 36,933 votes reflected a seemingly impressive night for the party in a number of areas across the capital.
