There is a specific moment when a feeling of bewilderment and inspiration hits the people who walk into UAB football’s new stadium in downtown Birmingham.
It’s when they first walk up the steps of the pavilion on the north side of the stadium and gaze southward out across the field and the city and then Red Mountain beyond. From that vantage point, people see more than a construction site in downtown Birmingham. They’re looking out into the future. ....
