A SOMERSET secondary school has closed until the New Year following several cases of Covid-19. Head teacher Jen Jacklin has written to all parents and carers of children at King Arthur s School, Wincanton, informing them of the closure. Students and staff are unable to return to the school until January 4. In her letter sent yesterday (Wednesday), Mrs Jacklin wrote: As you are aware, over the last week we have been notified about several members of our school community who have tested positive for Covid-19. During this time, we have monitored the situation and worked closely with Public Health England, responding as required.
