They are asking the city council for a pause on the increase minimum wage. This will be the second vote on the pause ordinance at the emeryville city council. Small local Restaurant Owners like Wayne Boucher say they may have to lay off staff if the cost of payment has to go any higher and that is if they manage to stay open at all.
