PD Investigates Loud Boom Heard In Downtown Sonora

Sonora, CA The Sonora Police Department received several calls last night at around 9:15pm from people hearing what sounded like some type of explosion.
The Police Department reports this morning that two of the callers stated that they saw fireworks that went off, including a flash of light in the sky. The PD investigated the incident last night and searched through downtown, and along Church Street, South Stewart, South Shepherd, Toby, McGowan, Pasadena Avenue and Summit Avenue, but could not find any fireworks, or other source.
It is not immediately clear what happened. We’ll pass along more information if it becomes available. ....

SHEPHERD, MI Trapped in a grain bin, an Isabella County farmer nearly found himself buried alive in corn but managed to evade death thanks to the efforts of firefighters.
Just before 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 24, Shepherd police officers responded to a call of a man trapped inside a corn-filled grain bin at a family farm in the 11000 block of South Shepherd Road.
A person at the farm called 911. ....

HOUSTON – As the COVID-19 pandemic continues, health authorities are encouraging everyone to get tested repeatedly to make sure we are not unknowingly spreading the virus.
Now, hundreds of millions of tests later, Channel 2 Investigates discovered doctors gouging patients and insurance companies for tests that are supposed to be free.
Nasal swabs, mouth swabs, rapid tests, and PCRs: There’s more than one way to get tested for COVID-19.
“I paid $100 for me, I paid $100 for my daughter,” said Katie Hillborn.
Hillborn also provided her insurance card at the Clear Creek Emergency Room in League City, in hopes she would be reimbursed when her insurance company paid the claim for the COVID-19 tests for her and her daughter. ....
