Police in north suburban Park Ridge say an unknown man impersonated a police officer, approached teenage girls and then assaulted them on two separate.
On Friday, December 9th, Galesburg Police responded to the 700 block of East Brooks Street for burglary to a motor vehicle. Police met with a 22-year-old man who said someone smashed through the passenger window of his vehicle with a brick and stole a backpack. The backpack contained a couple of pairs of shoes, some Apple Airpods, and a laptop. Police viewed security video of the incident provided by a neighbor that showed two individuals on bicycles approaching the vehicle, breaking the window, and stealing the backpack. The victim was able to track his Airpods to an apartment in the 600 block of South Academy Street. Later that afternoon, officers met again with the victim who had tracked his Airpods to Arby's on North Henderson Street. A female subject was in possession of the Airpods and said her husband purchased them from a 25-year-old man who lives in a trailer behind a property on South Seminary Street. Police then made contact with that male subject who was not in possess
