Lapeer County 911 Dispatch was contacted by Genesee County 911 at 1:20 a.m. Sunday, April 25, to report the City of Davison Police Department was in pursuit of a freshly stolen 2018 Dodge Charger. Dispatch reported that the vehicle was headed east on Interstate 69 at speeds of more100 MPH as it entered into Lapeer County, according to a Lapeer County Sheriff’s Department news release. ....
Man dies in Lapeer County crash that shut down portion of M-24 for 8 hours Updated 10:40 AM; METAMORA TWP., MI A 34-year-old Millington man was killed in a crash that shut down a portion of M-24 in Lapeer County for eight hours Tuesday, police said. Metamora Township police responded shortly before 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 20, to a two-vehicle crash on M-24 (South Lapeer Road) near Brocker Road. A 2007 Dodge Ram hauling a utility trailer was traveling northbound on M-24 when it crossed the center line, the initial investigation showed, according to a Metamora Township Police Department news release. The Dodge Ram then collided head-on into a 2015 Peterbilt water truck, police said. ....
Sterling Heights man, 22, accused of photographing man using Orion Twp. gym restroom A 22-year-old Sterling Heights man has been arrested after allegedly trying to photograph another man who was using the restroom at an Orion Township gym, officials said. Oakland County sheriff s deputies were called at about 1:30 p.m. Wednesday to the Planet Fitness gym on South Lapeer Road near East Clarkston Road for a report of a man seen using his cellphone to take pictures of a person in an adjacent bathroom stall, they said. The victim, an 18-year-old Orion Township man, told deputies he saw someone put a cellphone under the stall while he was using the restroom. He said he confronted the man and called police. ....
