Meanwhile, the District Board Review Report was adopted. The committee concluded that one Board should be formed by the merging of St Brendan’s District Board and Tralee Town Board. A temporary Competitions Control Committee is to be appointed by Tralee Town Board and St. Brendan’s Board on a trial period of 3 years to facilitate a more streamlined fixtures programme for the clubs affiliated to the 2 Divisional Boards. Further discussions are to take place between Templenoe and the South Kerry Board in relation to the proposal to admit Templenoe as full members of the Board. The committee has facilitated the addition of Kenmare Shamrocks, Kilgarvan and Tuosist as full affiliated members of the East Kerry Board.
