Investigation into Fatal Shooting at 8700 Main Street June 1, 2021 - Houston police are investigating the fatal shooting of a man at 8700 Main Street about 3:10 a.m. on Saturday (May 29). The identity of the victim is pending verification by the Harris County Institute of Forensic Sciences. HPD Homicide Division Sergeant M. Cass and Detective K. Heaverlo reported: HPD patrol officers responded to a reported shooting in the 2600 block of the South Loop West (South Interstate Highway 610 West) service road near Fannin Street.  During their investigation, officers discovered a white Porsche, with bullet holes in the driver and passenger sides, had crashed into the side of an office building at 2626 South Loop West.  No victims were located at the scene, however the driver and passenger were located at an area hospital with non-life-threatening gunshot wounds.
