SIDMAN — Classrooms in Pennsylvania are empty, and restaurants, too. So administrators and teachers at Forest Hills School District are looking at different ways to serve students, feed those in need and help the owners of local eateries.
“We’re truly looking at supporting each other for the good of the community,” Director of Education Lucas Jacobs said.
On Dec. 17, Forest Hills launched several satellite education sites for kids seeking in-person instruction amid the COVID-19 pandemic. The satellite sites are located at the South Fork Public Library, Beaverdale Public Library, St. Michael fire hall, Dunlo fire hall, Summerhill fire hall and Summerhill Borough Municipal Building. ....
