111-Year-Old in South Carolina Gets Covid-19 Vaccine

At this point, nearly 60 million doses of coronavirus vaccine have been administered across the U.S. and one of the recipients has years on all of us!
Maria Aulenbacher is the oldest known person in the state of South Carolina. She’s also one of the oldest people in the united states and last week, the 111-year old got her second dose of the vaccine. Maria lives near the blue ridge mountains and two of her grandchildren and great grandson live nearby. She was born in Germany and lived there for more than a century. But, shortly after her 100th birthday, she moved across the ocean to the United States. Everyone calls her “omi”, which is an affectionate German term for grandma. She says her secret to a long life is drinking wine, beer and eating whatever she likes. ....
