South Australian tourists can enjoy more new and unique cellar door experiences with 47 projects across the state sharing in more than $200,000 in Marshall Liberal Government funding.
Unique funded projects include interactive wine experiences in the Adelaide Hills, wine barrel tasting pods in McLaren Vale, grapevine charcoal drawing workshops in the Barossa and an audio-visual wine tasting experience in the Clare Valley.
Minister for Primary Industries and Regional Development David Basham said wineries thought outside the square to build their tourism and hospitality offering in accessing the ‘Unique Wine Experiences Fund Grant Program’. ....

Unique wine experiences grant to attract tourists

SA wineries can now apply for new grants of up to $5,000 to create unique cellar door experiences as wine regions continue to look at innovative ways to attract tourists and sell product following the impacts of COVID-19 restrictions and disruptions to international markets.
The Cellar Door Unique Experience Grant Program has been established thanks to $200,000 from the Marshall Liberal Government.
Minister for Primary Industries and Regional Development David Basham said the grant program has been established in response to the impacts brought about by COVID-19.
“South Australian wineries with cellar doors need your support now more than ever and we are encouraging businesses to apply for the grants who plan on investing in projects that enhance the visitor experience and create must-visit destinations,” Minister Basham said. ....

$380,000 for new McLaren Vale cellar door project

Dandelion Vineyards in McLaren Vale will build a new cellar door and restaurant which will boost the local economy and create jobs following the impacts of COVID-19, thanks to more than $380,000 in grant funding from the State Government.
The project will see an existing farm shed repurposed into a cellar door and restaurant with additional permanent staff to be employed.
The property overlooks the Willunga Basin, with views out to Gulf St Vincent, an aspect the project will seek to take advantage of with an extensive glass façade proposed for the development. ....
